Case Study: Zenos provides support to an online University in migration to a new learning management system
Online education providers have experienced increased popularity in the last decade. One of our clients is an online University which provides academic degrees in Business and Management science. Since they are a private company, funded exclusively from the tuition that the students pay, their organizational structure is quite lean, with a limited budget for administrative assistance.
It was important for them to find someone to help them on an ad hoc basis with admin activities in times of increased workload, especially at the time of enrollment in the studies for the next school year (late spring and early summer). In addition to this, they were looking for a cost-effective solution for updating an outdated learning management system.
We offered our ad hoc administrative support mechanism and helped the staff in the period of increased workload which lasted for a month. Zenos team helped by filing student data in the internal database, as well as processing and filing invoices and payment confirmations from the students. Then, once the workload decreased and the internal staff was able to take care of it on their own, we decided to provide our support in updating the learning management system.
Thanks to our strong network of partners, we were able to refer the client to an affordable IT service provider to help out. Once the decision was made to move to a new learning management system called Canvas, Zenos team helped primarily with the data migration. After a while, the University was ready for a new school year, with a refreshed look and an efficient learning management system.
